Two ways to play

The cube, and what is inside it

CUBE mode on a desktop: the cube turned so three coloured faces are visible, one of them mostly solved

Cube

Six boards, one cube

Six Minesweeper boards are glued together into one glossy cube you spin with a finger. A number counts the mines around it including the cells just across the edge on the neighbouring face, so one clue can reach onto two or three faces. The 24 corner cells only touch 7 neighbours, not 8. Clear all six faces to win.

CORE mode on a desktop: a pit dug through several colour-coded layers with the core glowing orange at the bottom

Core

Dig to the centre

The cube is made of nested layers of rock, colour-coded by depth, and each layer is its own board. Solved rock crumbles away and opens holes onto the layer beneath, mines you have proven are ejected and detonate at a safe distance, and the glowing core stays sealed until the layer around it is solved. Dig your way in and claim it.
